The Mission of the Donegal Foundation is "To promote and enrich the educational, cultural, athletic, health and wellness opportunities of the students and residents of the Donegal community. " We do this by working to bring scholarships to students and grants to teachers that aid in enriching the lives of those in the educational process. The board of directors is made up of residents of the Donegal School District. Each director serves a term of four years.
